The Problem
Learner drivers in the UK often struggle with repetitive and outdated theory test preparation methods. Most existing platforms rely on static question banks with minimal engagement or personalised learning paths, leading to reduced retention and inconsistent pass rates.
The Solution
Developed an AI-powered learning platform that dynamically generates contextual driving theory questions aligned with UK Highway Code standards. The system adapts quiz difficulty based on user performance and introduces gamified engagement through streaks, achievements, and public leaderboards.
What I Built
Built a scalable full-stack application using Next.js and TypeScript with an AI-driven content pipeline powered by OpenAI APIs. Implemented validation and confidence-scoring layers to review AI-generated content before publication. Designed gamification systems including rankings, streak tracking, badges, and adaptive learning flows to improve user retention.
Outcome
Increased daily engagement and returning user activity through competitive leaderboard mechanics and personalised quiz experiences. Users actively participating in gamified learning flows demonstrated significantly higher consistency and improved mock test performance.
Future Scope
Planned expansion into additional regions including EU driving theory systems and US DMV preparation. Future roadmap includes AI-driven weak-area detection, personalised revision plans, and predictive readiness scoring.
