Urban Route — NEMT Fleet Management
Non-Emergency Medical Transport fleet suite — Admin, Driver & Passenger apps with real-time ride sync across web, iOS, and Android.
The Problem
NEMT operators relied on phone calls for dispatch, had no live tracking of drivers, no patient self-service booking, and no automated driver-to-patient updates — resulting in missed pickups and a poor patient experience.
The Solution
Three interconnected apps: Admin (dispatch + fleet overview), Driver (trip management + navigation), Passenger (booking + live ride tracking). Rides sync in real time throughout their lifecycle.
What I built
Single codebase targeting Web, iOS, and Android. Supabase Realtime provides live location and trip status sync. Adaptive update frequency (frequent when moving, less when idle) for battery optimisation.
Business value
Replaced a phone-based dispatch operation with three interconnected apps, eliminating missed pickups and reducing operational overhead.
Outcome
Eliminated all phone-based dispatch, patients self-booked and tracked rides in real time, operators had full fleet visibility, and missed pickups were significantly reduced.
