Multi-tenant ERP for label manufacturers with real-time order management, automated production scheduling, and machine load balancing.
The Problem
A label manufacturing business had multiple office locations with production orders tracked in spreadsheets, no real-time visibility into order status, and no way to isolate data between business units.
The Solution
Multi-tenant ERP with complete company and location isolation, automatic production scheduling based on current machine load (no manual dispatch needed), and role-based access control so each user sees only what they're authorised for.
What I built
Designed a multi-tenant data architecture using Row Level Security policies which provide full tenant isolation at the database level. Built an automated scheduling engine that considers machine load, order priority and shift availability. Added real-time order board updates and CSV reporting.
Business value
Replaced spreadsheet-based production management across multiple locations with automated scheduling and real-time visibility.
Outcome
The client completely replaced manual scheduling and now has real-time visibility across all locations — minimising production delays from order intake through dispatch.
