ProofCheck — Automated Pre-Press Verification
Standalone software that automates pre-press artwork verification for packaging manufacturers — catching text, colour, barcode, and regulatory copy errors before they reach the plate.
The Problem
Packaging manufacturers manually verify artwork proofs before sending to print — a time-consuming, error-prone process. Mistakes caught late in production (wrong barcode, incorrect regulatory text, colour mismatch) result in costly reprints, production delays, and compliance failures.
The Solution
ProofCheck automates the pre-press verification pipeline — checking artwork for text accuracy, colour consistency, barcode validity, and regulatory copy compliance before the plate is made. Manufacturers get a structured verification workflow that catches errors early, not after printing.
What I built
Designed the verification pipeline and manufacturer-facing workflow as a standalone product, independent of the LoopPack marketplace but designed to integrate with it. Targeting automated checks across text, colour, barcode, and regulatory copy. Built on Next.js and Supabase with an AI-assisted verification layer.
Business value
Eliminates costly packaging reprints by automating artwork verification before production begins.
Outcome
Early-stage — in active development. Reduces costly reprints and production delays by shifting error detection from post-print to pre-plate.
